PERSONAL MISSION SUPPORT
Dear St Ansgar’s Lutheran Church,
Thank you! Curtis and I just received notification from the ELCA-GM that your congregation has started a covenant relationship with us, including sponsoring us and our ministry in Colombia, thank you!
I would like to take a moment to introduce ourselves to you: Curtis and I are missionaries serving for the ELCA, with the companion Lutheran Church of Colombia (IELCO). We will be completing our third year in Colombia in July. Curtis works with the Human Rights program. He had been doing a lot of work to get ready for the signing on the peace agreement (which, after a long process was signed Nov 30). Now his work revolves primarily around planning with the different churches and their involvement in the implementation of the agreement. I work with the Education Ministry, primarily working in leadership development and strengthening Lutheran identity among the members.
Curtis and I are here for you all too! If you have questions about the ministries happening in Colombia, our work, Global Missions, or anything else, please don't hesitate to ask We think the Church here is doing incredible things and love to share our excitement :)
We look forward to getting to know your congregation better as we begin this partnership. Blessings to you on your ministries, and again, thank you for your support!

Project Promise School Kits
This Lent St. Ansgar’s is joining Lutheran World Relief in their Project Promise campaign. We will be creating school bags and filling them with basic school supplies. Imagine having to choose between a meal or purchasing a notebook. Project Promise school kits are sent to places where even the few required school supplies may be more than a family can afford. Pencils and paper can help write a positive future. Each week we’ll collect a different item or if you choose you can bring all items at once. Here’s our collection schedule:
March 4: Scissors (blunt tip) and eraser (2 ½ inch)
March 11: (5) Pencils ( #2 unsharpened with erasers) and Pencil Sharpener
March 18: Box of crayons (16 or 24 count)
March 26: (5) Pens (black or blue ballpoint)
