Mission Committee News
Meet our members: We meet at 10:00am on the first Tuesday of the month and we always welcome new members. St. Ansgar's Mission Team would like to thank the congregation for their generosity. 
Monthly Globe Offerings: Each month St. Ansgar's members have an opportunity to contribute to a specific giving project. For example, projects have included collecting school supplies for the local elementary school, supporting the Feed My Starving Children mobile packing event held in our community each year, or contributing to the Good Samaritan Fund which helps local residents who are temporarily struggling with their household bills. The mission team would like to thank the congregation for their continued generosity to all of these projects. Check the Link newsletter to see what the current month's project is. |
There have been numerous natural disasters during the past year. If you would like to help those recovering, you may contribute to the Lutheran World Disaster Relief. Write checks to St. Ansgar’s and write "LWR" in the memo.
Food Shelf Distribution Schedule:
1st Saturday of the Month 10 am - Noon 2nd & 4th Thurs of the Month 10 am-Noon 3rd Thursday of the Month 4:30 – 6:30 pm Food donation drop-off is M-F: from 9-noon & 1-3 pm Items in need: Toothpaste, shampoo, canned peaches, pears and mandarin organs, bath tissue, Kleenex, dish soap, laundry detergent, deodorant, canned soup, canned meals, boxed meals, 64 oz fruit juice in plastic bottles, canned vegetables & fruit, & deodorant. Feed more families by donating cash. Every dollar donated to the food shelf provides 5 meals from the food bank. The Cannon Falls Community Food Shelf is housed at 1st English Lutheran Church: 511 W.
